Like Antelope Station, Mustang Station provides low cost, reliable electric service for its rural distribution cooperative members.

Golden Spread Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a tax-exempt, consumer-owned public utility, organized in 1984 to provide low cost, reliable electric service for its rural distribution cooperative members. Its 16 member systems serve more than 185,000 retail consumers located in the Oklahoma Panhandle and an area covering 24 percent of Texas’ land area including the Panhandle, South Plains and Edwards Plateau Regions.

Morgantown Generating Station, located in Newburg, Maryland, has a generating capacity of 1,467 megawatts. According to GenOn’s website, the station has units which operate at base load, intermediate and peak demand levels. The facility began commercial operation in 1970.

The seven year contract includes mobilization and long term operations and maintenance of the greenfield project scheduled for commercial operation in 2014.
