PMEG Renews UCONN Contract

ATLANTA (Aug. 27, 2007) - PIC-Marubeni Energy Group (PMEG), a service provider for the global power generation industry, announces that it has renewed its contract for operations and maintenance (O&M) support services with the University of Connecticut (UCONN) for its Cogen Plant located in Storrs, Connecticut.

The Cogen Plant is a 25-megawatt cogeneration facility consisting of three duel fuel Solar Taurus 70 combustion turbines, three Rentech HRSGs, a back pressure steam turbine, and three steam driven chillers. PMEG and its predecessor company, Power Industry Consultants (PIC) O&M, have been under contract for the facility since 2005.

This contract renewal represents the next phase in PMEG’s seamless turn-over of day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Cogen Plant to UCONN. Over the past two years, PMEG has operated and maintained the plant while simultaneously establishing the programs, procedures, and the training necessary for UCONN to safely assume self-operation.
