The PIC Companies Announce the Appointment of PMEG President

ATLANTA (Nov. 1, 2005) – Mr. James R. Flandreau – Chairman of The PIC Group, Inc. today announced the appointment of Mr. Thomas L. Paul as President of PIC-Marubeni Energy Group (PMEG). As President, Mr. Paul will have direct responsibility for all operational aspects of PIC-MarubeniEnergy Group.

Mr. Paul has over twenty-five years experience in the power generation industry encompassing conventional fossil, nuclear, municipal waste, reciprocating engine, and combustion turbine power plants. Prior to his appointment to President of PMEG, Mr. Paul served as Executive Vice President-Global Services for The PIC Companies. Mr. Paul’s duties included guiding and assisting PIC‘s various business units in the development, sale, and execution of work with particular emphasis on international markets. Before joining PIC in 1993, Mr. Paul served as Director of Operations and Maintenance Services for General Physics Corporation, a specialty training and consulting company serving power generation, petrochemical, pulp & paper, water/wastewater, and other industries. He previously served as Project Manager then Training Center Manager for PowerSafety International, a subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox.
