PIC Awarded Scheduled Outage at Asheville Steam Electric Generating Plant
ATLANTA (March 3, 2007) - The PIC Companies’ Field Services Division is pleased to announce it has been awarded a contract to complete a scheduled boiler outage at the Ashville Steam Electric Generating Plant in Skyland, North Carolina. The five week outage on a 200-MW fossil fired unit will include rear waterwall replacement, installing 13 seal boxes for OB doors, flame detectors, and sootblowers. The outage will also include the installation of new buckstay steel and miscellaneous boiler maintenance activities.
