PIC Awarded Start-Up, Commissioning and Operations Support Services

ATLANTA (Nov. 28, 2007) - The PIC Companies is pleased to announce it has been awarded the contract to provide ARB with Start-Up, Commissioning, and Operations Support services for the Imperial Irrigation District (IID) Niland Gas Turbine Project located in Niland, CA.

The Niland Gas Turbine Project, the first new power plant to be built in 29 years by IID, has been designed to meet peaking resource needs during the summer and also increase future system capacity. The plant will consist of two General Electric LM6000 PD SPRINT NxGen combustion turbine generators (CTG) equipped with inlet air chiller coils, zero liquid discharge (ZLD) wastewater treatment system, water storage and treatment systems, gas compressor equipment, and electrical transmission and interconnection system and associated auxiliary systems and equipment. The simple cycle plant will utilize state-of-the-art Dry Low-NOx combustors and selective catalytic reduction equipment for the control of NOx emissions.

The contract includes startup, commissioning and operations support services. Personnel mobilizations will begin in January 2008 with completion scheduled for June of 2008. PIC will be responsible for developing the systems list, scoping, and turnover packages and will provide the full startup team along with provision of all required documentation.
