The PIC Companies Complete Scheduled Maintenance Outage

ATLANTA (Dec. 15, 2006) - The PIC Companies Field Services Division is pleased to announce the successful completion of a scheduled maintenance outage on a 770 MW dual furnace coal-fired boiler in North Carolina. The outage included the complete replacement of the HTSH sections of the unit, as well as the repair of Primary Reheat lugs and the installation of new burners. The outage consisted of eight-weeks of pre-outage activities leading up to a six-week outage window. The outage required over 5,000 tube welds utilizing up to 175 craft workers on site and required extensive rigging and welding expertise.
