PIC Completes a Modified Combustion Inspection on GE Frame 7EA Dual-Fuel, DLN-1 Combustion Turbine

ATLANTA (July 10, 2006) - The PIC Companies Turbine Services Division is pleased to announce the successful completion of a combustion inspection on a GE 7EA Gas Turbine at the Gordonsville Combined Cycle Plant in Gordonsville, VA. The plant is a 2X1 combined cycle plant owned by Dominion Resources and operated by LG&E Power Services (LPS.)

The plant had been experiencing some difficulty with its Dry Low NOx combustion system. Dominion and LPS decided the best course of action was to replace the primary and secondary fuel nozzles. PIC Turbine Services was able to mobilize to the site within 24 hours of the contract award. The work was carried out in accordance with the highest industry standards and the gas turbine was successfully returned to service in full compliance with the plant’s emissions requirements.

PIC brings its Turbine Services programs and proven execution experience to the project and is proud to have been able to provide these services to an important client on very short notice. We are confident that our maintenance philosophies, processes and tools will be instrumental in the future success of this facility and we will continue to support Dominion Resources with its maintenance requirements in the future,” stated Mark A Wright, Vice President of PIC’s Turbine Services Division.
