PIC Completed Disassembly of GE Frame 7F Dual-Fuel Combustion Turbine with MNQC System
ATLANTA (Nov. 13, 2006) - The PIC Companies is pleased to announce the successful completion of the disassembly of one GE Frame 7F Combustion Turbine at the Mirant Station H Combined-Cycle Plant in Dickerson, MD. The plant is a 2X1 Combined Cycle plant owned and operated by Mirant. The turbine had been exhibiting a higher than normal vibration signature and Mirant decided the best course of action was to open the turbine and compressor sections to allow an ultrasonic inspection of the later stages of the compressor. PIC Turbine Services mobilized to the site and successfully completed the work within the budget and schedule allowed.
