PIC Performs Construction Support for Valladolid III Project in Mexico
January 2005 | Mexico - The PIC Companies entered into an agreement with Ingenieria y Construccion de Valladolid S.A. de C.V. (ICV) to supply temporary personnel for supervising work relating to the construction, installation, and commissioning activities at the Valladolid III power plant facility.
Valladolid III is a natural gas-fired, combined-cycle power plant that will provide 525 MW of energy through a 25-year power-purchase agreement with CFE. The site consists of two 184-MW GE-MS7001FB combustion turbines with HRSGs to drive one Toshiba steam turbine.
The energy center is located on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. The plant is owned by GCV, partnership between Mitsui and Chubu Electric. Toshiba, hired as the EPC, subbed the procurement/construction to ICV.
PIC provided personnel on site during the construction of this facility including procurement, projects controls, civil, electrical and mechanical superintendents, safety manager, QA/QC, safety inspector, and field engineers.
